Amtrak is my preferred means of transportation to LA so my trips end and begin at this station. This picture doesn't do it justice. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it and usually find something new each time I go through. There's a great little bagel stand called, "Bialys" inside where I grab my evening meal for the train. The Greek salads are delicious but make sure they hand you the right one. The courtyards are gorgeous with flowers even in the winter. A Metro Station shares the station, so it's a short $1.25 subway ride to Sunset/Vermont if you feel up to it. Rental cars available, too. And Olvera Street is a few minutes walk away.
